Does it depend on how well the different gods or whatever get along with each other? Does some other factor determine how the interaction works? Is it random?
the Tablet's Powers: Why are the effects of an artifact powered by a moon god tied to the setting and rising of the sun instead of anything connected to the moon's cycle? What else, if anything, can the Tablet do besides what we saw in the movies, and what are its limitations? Why do the things that it animates turn to dust if they are outdoors when the sun rises? What does that mean for the lion statues in London and any other outdoor artwork it brings to life? Are there ways to adjust the magic's settings, so to speak, beyond turning it on and off? If so, what changes can be made?

Blood Rock Island: How long has Heart been running the place? Is it just a place to throw inconvenient people and forget about them, or does it serve another purpose? What kind of dangerous flora, fauna, and other weirdness calls the island home? Are there man-made facilities on the island or do the inmates roam the wilderness? What kind of population does it have? Are there guards and/or support staff, human, robot, or otherwise? What are the inmates like? Are they victims who got in Heart's way like Arthur, or genuinely dangerous criminals, or a mixture?
Scar-based Technology: What other technological weirdness was Heart capable of that we didn't get to see? What can or can't be done with morally questionable fuel alternatives, unnatural gasses, and unidentifiable glowing goo? How do you go from those basic building blocks to things like blood engines, blood gates, clones, robots, Heart Tower, and whatever else? Does all Scar-based tech need blood and/or souls to power it? Is it really technology at all, or is it some kind of magic dressed up as technology? Is Heart really the only company making things out of stuff found in the Scar, or are there others?
the Aki Units: How are the Aki units connected to the original human Aki? Did Heart just decide to copy a dead human they found while exploring the Scar, or was something stranger and/or more sinister going on? Do all of the Aki units not get along with each other, or is Aki 8.5X11 the only one to think the others are "kinda bitches"? If none of them get along, how does that impact their functioning in the workplace when there are so many of them? Is Aki 8.5X11 the only Aki unit to ever unlock her humanity and fall in love, or have other Aki units done the same thing over the years? If so, what happened to them? What percentage are used as their originally intended role of sex toy versus the other roles we saw them performing? Are the Aki units really nothing but slave labor, or can they rise to high positions of authority within the company? In what ways are they better or worse than humans in terms of accomplishing any of the tasks they might be assigned?
the Scar: How do people get across it? What happened to the people who fell and/or climbed into it and never came out? How did it do what it did to Sheriff Leon? What has it done to other people? What else is leaking out of it besides hallucinogenic gas? What is lurking inside that we haven't seen yet? What are the Scar's powers? How far does its influence stretch beyond its immediate vicinity? Is it still growing and changing? Is it alive and/or conscious as implied by Pearl in episode nine when she says that the Scar likes things done a certain way? If so, what does it want?
the Slink Clones: How does Slink's consciousness get transferred between the different bodies? Can more than one clone be conscious/active at a time, and if so, would they function as individuals or some kind of hivemind? How human/inhuman are they beyond what was shown in the series? What was the original purpose of the project? Why three thousand clones? Why did anyone at Heart think any of this was a good idea? What, if any, connection was there between the Slink clones and the guy who looked like Slink in the 1957 photo Grace found?

I love the little hints of actual geography, how Rigo must be Rigolet and Lark is Lark Harbour and Newf is of course Newfoundland. (According to Wikipedia, Waknuk is actually the town of Wabush.) I am fascinated by the way the fundamentalist religion has taken over the townspeople's lives, and about the lives of the Fringes people, and it makes me wonder what else is going on in different places in this post-apocalyptic future.
I'd be particularly interested in a sailor's adventures: Uncle Axel's, maybe, or the ones who came close to shore in his tales, or completely original sailors either from Rigo or elsewhere. I'd love to see excerpts from logbooks or sketches from journals of the strange and horrible sights of the Fringes, the Badlands, or other places outside the "civilized world." Art of Deviations or Blasphemies from the Fringes or the Badlands would be very cool as well.
Alternatively, I'd love a story about Michael's journey to rescue Rachel, and their journey to Zealand. How do they make it out of Waknuk without being discovered and killed? How do they go to Zealand – do they travel overland, or make their way to sea and travel that way? Do the Zealanders return to assist them? Maybe Petra stays in touch with them and helps coordinate. What I like most about this canon is the concept of the Library at the center of all the worlds and the Librarians holding it all together through their work. I'd be particularly interested in something about the origin of the Library, perhaps early Librarians and their discoveries, or an early version of the Library before it becomes the sprawling edifice it is in canon, with computer terminals and wings that take days of travel to reach. Did the invention of the written language somehow bring it into being spontaneously? Do cultures attain doorways to the library when they create literature? I'm also fascinated by the Language, and how it creates reality by describing it. How was it developed, or discovered? How does it adapt to new inventions that require new words to name them? How has it been used and abused throughout the history of the Library – or even before?
I am not sure what kind of art this could suggest, but I'm completely open to art for this request. Maybe something showing the characters of the language changing to read the same thing in different readers' views? Or a schematic of an early Library with its doors opening on different realities?
I'd particularly like original characters, minor canon characters, or in-universe meta with no actual characters, but feel free to use any canon characters if that's what works for your story. I am fascinated by the alternate realities that some characters seem to be able to cross between, and that are the source of films such as The Grasshopper Lies Heavy. The films imply a multiplicity of timelines, not just the one shown in the series, and our reality. Tagomi is able to cross, apparently, just by meditating, as can his assistant Kotomichi (who was revealed to be originally from "our" universe"); can anybody cross between realities this way, or only particular people? Are there other ways of traveling between the alternate realities? What determines the particular destination timeline when someone crosses? What are the tipping points that have split these alternate realities? How are the films created and brought across from one reality to another – do other timelines have Abendsens and Hitlers collecting versions of these films? Other than transferring the films, what reasons do people have for traveling among the timelines? Do people ever meet their alternate selves, and if so, what happens then?
My favorite canonical character is Tagomi, though Abendsen might be a better character to explore these ideas; but I would also love something with original characters, either in the 1960s of the show or during WWII, or later along the timeline.
For art, maybe a set of portraits showing a single character as he or she would be in different realities? Or advertising or political posters from different realities?

Scar-based Technology: What other technological weirdness was Heart capable of that we didn't get to see? What can or can't be done with morally questionable fuel alternatives, unnatural gasses, and unidentifiable glowing goo? How do you go from those basic building blocks to things like blood engines, blood gates, clones, robots, Heart Tower, and whatever else? Does all Scar-based tech need blood and/or souls to power it? Is it really technology at all, or is it some kind of magic dressed up as technology? Is Heart really the only company making things out of stuff found in the Scar, or are there others?
the Aki Units: How are the Aki units connected to the original human Aki? Did Heart just decide to copy a dead human they found while exploring the Scar, or was something stranger and/or more sinister going on? Do all of the Aki units not get along with each other, or is Aki 8.5X11 the only one to think the others are "kinda bitches"? If none of them get along, how does that impact their functioning in the workplace when there are so many of them? Is Aki 8.5X11 the only Aki unit to ever unlock her humanity and fall in love, or have other Aki units done the same thing over the years? If so, what happened to them? What percentage are used as their originally intended role of sex toy versus the other roles we saw them performing? If you prefer to focus on an individual, perhaps family/personal life/backstory (for police characters), or history/backstory (for the vampires, whether Nick's "family" or Vachon's crew). Then there's Natalie's research into vampires, and the difference between them and carouches like Screed. By all means include characters who weren't nominated if you want. I like all three seasons equally.

I love the little hints of actual geography, how Rigo must be Rigolet and Lark is Lark Harbour and Newf is of course Newfoundland. (According to Wikipedia, Waknuk is actually the town of Wabush.) I am fascinated by the way the fundamentalist religion has taken over the townspeople's lives, and about the lives of the Fringes people, and it makes me wonder what else is going on in different places in this post-apocalyptic future.
I'd be particularly interested in a sailor's adventures: Uncle Axel's, maybe, or the ones who came close to shore in his tales, or completely original sailors either from Rigo or elsewhere. I'd love to see excerpts from logbooks or sketches from journals of the strange and horrible sights of the Fringes, the Badlands, or other places outside the "civilized world." Art of Deviations or Blasphemies from the Fringes or the Badlands would be very cool as well.
Alternatively, I'd love a story about Michael's journey to rescue Rachel, and their journey to Zealand. How do they make it out of Waknuk without being discovered and killed? How do they go to Zealand – do they travel overland, or make their way to sea and travel that way? Do the Zealanders return to assist them? Maybe Petra stays in touch with them and helps coordinate. Maybe they discover another colony of telepaths, and stay with them instead. Or David, Rosalind, and Petra on a future mission to elsewhere in the uncivilized world, maybe western North America or Europe – what do they find there? How does it differ from "the civilized world" that we see in the book? Again, I'd also love any sort of art about the things in these unknown places, or journal excerpts incorporating art.

What I like most about this canon is the concept of the Library at the center of all the worlds and the Librarians holding it all together through their work. I'd be particularly interested in something about the origin of the Library, perhaps early Librarians and their discoveries, or an early version of the Library before it becomes the sprawling edifice it is in canon, with computer terminals and wings that take days of travel to reach. Did the invention of the written language somehow bring it into being spontaneously? Do cultures attain doorways to the library when they create literature? I'm also fascinated by the Language, and how it creates reality by describing it. How was it developed, or discovered? How does it adapt to new inventions that require new words to name them? How has it been used and abused throughout the history of the Library – or even before?
I am not sure what kind of art this could suggest, but I'm completely open to art for this request. Maybe something showing the characters of the language changing to read the same thing in different readers' views? Or a schematic of an early Library with its doors opening on different realities?
I'd particularly like original characters, minor canon characters, or in-universe meta with no actual characters, but feel free to use any canon characters if that's what works for your story. DNW Irene/Kai, though Irene/Vale/Kai as a V is fine. My general shipping preferences in this fandom are Kai/Vale and Irene/OFC.

I am fascinated by the alternate realities that some characters seem to be able to cross between, and that are the source of films such as The Grasshopper Lies Heavy. The films imply a multiplicity of timelines, not just the one shown in the series, and our reality. Tagomi is able to cross, apparently, just by meditating, as can his assistant Kotomichi (who was revealed to be originally from "our" universe"); can anybody cross between realities this way, or only particular people? Are there other ways of traveling between the alternate realities? What determines the particular destination timeline when someone crosses? What are the tipping points that have split these alternate realities? How are the films created and brought across from one reality to another – do other timelines have Abendsens and Hitlers collecting versions of these films? Other than transferring the films, what reasons do people have for traveling among the timelines? Do people ever meet their alternate selves, and if so, what happens then?
My favorite canonical character is Tagomi, though Abendsen might be a better character to explore these ideas; but I would also love something with original characters, either in the 1960s of the show or during WWII, or later along the timeline.
For art, maybe a set of portraits showing a single character as he or she would be in different realities? Or advertising or political posters from different realities?
