At the moment, I'm leaning towards "you can only request/offer each fandom once" for overall simplicity. I'm open to persuasion, if people think they really would have significantly different sets of tags they'd want to work with in different media. (I can imagine with the "meta" category this might be a thing, with people wanting to be able to request character-driven fic and "No Character" meta.)
I'm not too worried about the checking-for-illegal-sign-ups side of it (I intend to keep a fairly close eye on sign ups anyway, mostly to make sure that people are requesting what they seem to think they're requesting, given the potentially confusing tag set). However, I think I saw mention somewhere recently of repeated fandoms potentially causing matching gremlins, which was one of the things causing me to lean in the other direction. You of all people would know if that's actually true, though, so do let me know whether I *should* actually be worrying about that.
