General nomination formatting issues

Thanks to those nominators who have adjusted their nominations since the last post. The table below shows the specific issues holding up most remaining fandoms at this point. For fandoms marked only in the first column, I will add the disambiguations myself when I have more time available, but if the nominators adjust them for me, they will likely be approved much more quickly. Fandoms marked in either of the latter two columns will need to have the required tags added before they will be approved. (NB This does not have to be done by the original nominator.)

A * by a fandom name above indicates that there are other queries, either in this post or the previous one. NB you may find that you have well-formatted nominations for one or more of the fandoms listed above; if this is the case, there are other nominators for that fandom whose nominations need adjusting.

Specific queries

• Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV) - Anyanka and Anya Jenkins are listed separately, but refer to the same character at different times - I am minded to turn these into a piped tag Anyanka | Anya Jenkins but am willing to listen to arguments against this.
  
• End of Eternity | Resonance of Fate - WB: Massacre Cult details is the only worldbuilding tag submitted; searching online, I can't find evidence that the game contains a "Massacre Cult", please could the nominator confirm?
  
• Star Trek - this is a very broad tag encompassing everything put out under the Star Trek imprimatur in all formats from the last 50+ years; there are currently several Star Trek subfandoms awaiting approval - TNG, TOS and the novels (see below) - and AOS and AOS-verse DS9-era are already approved. Please could the nominator confirm that the umbrella tag is what they want and/or discuss with other Star Trek nominators (eg in the comments).
  
• Star Trek - Various Authors - as far as I can tell, this is the AO3 tag for the various Star Trek spinoff novels. The tags nominated so far seem to be specifically for the Rihannsu novels; would a more specific fandom tag be appropriate?
  
• Star Wars - All Media Types - I'm a little wary about approving this fandom as it would encompass multiple continuities that are mutually contradictory by explicit intent of the creators. If the nominator definitely wants to be able to request/offer works drawing on all Star Wars material, both Legends and new EU, please confirm.
  
• TOLKIEN J. R. R. - Works & Related Fandoms - the scope of this seems extremely large to me (i.e. I would interpret it to encompass the likes of Farmer Giles of Ham and The Father Christmas Letters). If this really is what the nominator wants, please confirm.

Do we have to nominate both the default characters (Any or No and Original)? Only, I'm seeing approved fandoms in the set that don't have both.

If there are any missing in the tag set as it is now, that's (most probably) a slip on my part or (just possibly) an AO3 bug disappearing them between one stage and the next.

I will be doing a very big pass through the tag set at the end of nominations that will help me identify that sort of issue (along with the inevitable wandering tags, etc.) but do let me know of any you've spotted so I can get ahead of fixing them and slightly reduce the amount of work to do at that stage.

Buffy and Star Wars - All Media Types nominator

I nominated Anya's personas separately because they're fairly different from a characterization standpoint, but I have no real issues with merging them.

For Star Wars - I went with all because I legitimately do not care which version of lore/time line/etc is used for the various tags I nominated in the fandom and I didn't want to limit to one specific version when it didn't really feel necessary.

ETA: Also I just noticed that I made a typo in my Critical Role nomination. In "WB: Daily life and customs of Wildmount (Critical Role)" Wildmount should be Wildemount.

I would second the desire for a Star Wars AMT, as there are various tags I'd like to request where information isn't contradictory, or at least not in meaningful ways, and material from one source can rather be used as framework for worldbuilding in the other. Say, there are many planets which exist only as a name in Disney canon while the EU gives information to their geography and history, and I'd love it if my writer were allowed to build on that instead of starting from scratch.

Since there are two of you saying that you're willing to work with that fandom, that implies it wouldn't be a waste of time trying to match on it, so I'll approve the AMT nom. (I do have the impression at times that the EU writers are trying to grandfather in all their favourite parts of the previous versions.)

• OK, I'll approve the two Anyas as is, to allow people to match on either the vengeance demon or the former vengeance demon turned human.
  
• Seeing as you've got at least one other person willing to work in what's effectively a superset of Star Wars lore, I'll approve that too.

Hi again.

On the Star Wars front, can you give me some more information about what you're intending with "The Hutts" as a character tag and "WB: The Hutts" as a worldbuilding tag? I have allowed noms for characters that were actually groups in the past, but an entire species seems like a very broad group. I'm wondering if the first might work better as "Original Hutt Character(s)" ...

I changed "Star Trek - Various Authors" to "Star Trek: Rihannsu Series", but I'm second guessing that now, because what I'm really after is the universe that Diane Diane created in all of her novels, not just the Rihannsu Series. (She often used the same races and OCs and worldbuilding.) How about 'Star Trek: Diane Diane Novels'?

I don't mind either way, and those are somewhat different in scope, so I'll leave it up to you to decide - if I see it appear in the tag set under a general Diane Duane tag, I'll approve it, but if you want to leave it as Rihannsu let me know by replying to this comment.

Hi, sorry, I must have made a typo but one of my A Song of Ice and Fire nominations has been approved as the Grand Master Conspiracy instead of the Grand Maester Conspiracy.

I think that might have been a typo I introduced when adding disambiguations. Either way, fixed now.
