Can I nominate theoretical characters where we don't know who the character was merged with? Either with the other half being specified in the nomination or up to the writer?
I think these would be very much in line with other Specific Original Character noms we've had in the past, so that's fine, as long as they're phrased clearly.
For Amalgam specifically, can I nominate theoretical merged events from Marvel and DC?
Are you thinking of things like (as an example) an Amalgam take on the Secret Wars/Convergence planet-made-of-different-bits-of-continuity thing? I don't see why not (as worldbuilding tags), again as long as the tags are sufficiently clear that someone could make an informed decision about whether to request or offer them.
