Nominations: Tuesday 4th-Monday 10th January
Sign ups: Friday 14th-Monday 24th January
Assignments out by: Friday 28th January
"Default deadline": Friday 11th March
Assignments due: Friday 18th March
Works revealed: Friday 25th March
Creators revealed: Friday 1st April

Everything will take place at 0755 UTC (except creator reveals, which will be at 0655 UTC, due to the clocks changing).

After a lot of consideration, I have decided that the 2022 round (the sixth overall) will be the last time Worldbuilding Exchange runs; I'll write a comment in reply to this post with more detail for those who want it.

This is following the same overall pattern as previous years, but with a few tweaks in the earlier stages and reverting to the earlier time of day used in the first couple of rounds:

Nominations: Tuesday 5th-Monday 11th January
Sign ups: Friday 15th-Monday 25th January
Assignments out by: Friday 29th January
"Default deadline": Friday 12th March
Assignments due: Friday 19th March
Works revealed: Friday 26th March
Creators revealed: Friday 2nd April

All opening/closing/etc. will happen at 0755 UTC. That does mean that for those in the most westerly time zones, the deadlines will be the night before the dates shown here.

(For those who might want to know why I've made the minor changes I have: my pattern of work is currently very different to the norm, and I can't be sure until things gets started exactly how that's going to affect when, and for how long at a time, I can be online for mod purposes. As a result, I've built in a little extra slack for tag set sorting and dealing with matching in particular.)

Along similar lines to previous years, though I have made some tweaks as a result of my schedule:

Nominations: Tuesday 7th - Wednesday 15th Jan
Sign ups: Friday 17th - Monday 27th Jan
Assignments out by: Wednesday 29th Jan
"Default deadline": Friday 13th March
Assignments due: Friday 20th March
Works revealed: Friday 27th March
Creators revealed: Friday 3rd April

I've also decided that a time of 1655 UTC on each day works best for me in terms of when I'm able to get online at the moment. Note that for participants in westerly time zones this will correspond to (in some cases quite early in) the morning of the given dates.

At this stage, given the RL constraints I'm working under, I'm 99% certain I will stick to this schedule but if there are showstopping problems with it that I'm unaware of, please do let me know either by commenting here, sending a dreamwidth DM, or emailing worldbuildingmod@gmx.com

I've recently received my work schedule for the start of next year, so in a moment's post-deadline breather from all the Yuletide excitement, I thought I'd give anyone who's interested a heads up on when I'm currently planning to run the next round (very similar to last round, as it turns out):

Tag set nominations: Monday 7th January - Wednesday 16th January
Sign ups: Friday 18th January - Monday 28th February January
Assignments out by: Friday 1st February
"Default deadline": Friday 8th March
Assignments due: Friday 15th March
Works revealed: Friday 22nd March
Creators revealed: Friday 29th March

Unless there are strong objections, I intend to shift the relevant times on each date to 2155 UTC. Also, please note that there may be a delay between the tag set opening for nominations and the start of approvals if it turns out the AO3 back end is running slow again, though as far as I can tell the issues around that have improved considerably over the last year.

If anyone can see any major issues with these proposed dates, please do let me know.
