Draft Worldbuilding Exchange 2020 schedule

Along similar lines to previous years, though I have made some tweaks as a result of my schedule:

Nominations: Tuesday 7th - Wednesday 15th Jan
Sign ups: Friday 17th - Monday 27th Jan
Assignments out by: Wednesday 29th Jan
"Default deadline": Friday 13th March
Assignments due: Friday 20th March
Works revealed: Friday 27th March
Creators revealed: Friday 3rd April

I've also decided that a time of 1655 UTC on each day works best for me in terms of when I'm able to get online at the moment. Note that for participants in westerly time zones this will correspond to (in some cases quite early in) the morning of the given dates.

At this stage, given the RL constraints I'm working under, I'm 99% certain I will stick to this schedule but if there are showstopping problems with it that I'm unaware of, please do let me know either by commenting here, sending a dreamwidth DM, or emailing worldbuildingmod@gmx.com

Not a showstopping problem, but it might be worth posting a reminder with the schedule about the changeover to Daylight Saving Time meaning that people's local time may or may not change in relation to UTC between signups and the due date, depending on whether their area observes DST or not. That way people who are bad at time zones should be less likely to be caught by surprise.

The change happens on different dates in different countries, just to make it even more complicated. (And of course goes in the opposite direction for southern hemisphere participants ...)

I always give countdown timers to the next significant point in the schedule, and this sort of thing is one of the main reasons why.

Not planning to sign up, hoping to pinch hit and/or treat, but I am delighted to see the wheels begin to turn in this year's round! It's always such a joy.
