Round 6 will be the final round of Worldbuilding Exchange (see here); there are no rule changes from Round 5, except that (for obvious reasons) I have removed references to potential bans from future rounds.

This is mostly the same as previous rounds, but there is a fairly major change in terms of nominations: following feedback last round, more specific "Any" tags are now allowed in the Character field.

There are no major changes here since last round; the most significant one is that I now feel confident removing the Reveals Bug section because it seems to be fixed.

There are some minor changes here compared to previous rounds, mainly to clarify further what "good faith" participation looks like. The last two rounds of Worldbuilding Exchange have for the most part been shining examples of exactly that, but since the last round, issues that have arisen elsewhere and discussions following on from them have left me wanting to be a little clearer about what I mean.

Also, I have decided to stop using the exchange's tumblr account: it did not seem to me that many (if any) people were using it as their primary method of interacting with the exchange last round; I was very bad at remembering to crosspost to it; and now that the tumblr userbase seems to have shrunk considerably, it doesn't seem worth it.

The updated version of the rules says:

The “No Characters” tag in a prompt means that the requester is leaving the use of characters up to their creator. It does not prohibit a creator from using characters.

Including "No Characters" in the tag set for each fandom is designed to improve the chances of people matching to other people who want to receive/create the type of works they themselves are interested in, since some types of worldbuilding fanworks do not include characters in the traditional sense, or at least do not focus on them.

Here's how this will work in practice:
