I can't assign this in the normal way at this stage, but anyone who's working on it, please do let me know. (No problem at all if more than one person decides to have a go, but I will mark it as "claimed" once I know someone is working on it.) No deadline is applicable either - just upload as soon as you're able. Thank you to anyone who can help!

WB: Life on Westerly (Killjoys (TV)), WB: Qreshi Politics (Killjoys (TV)), WB: The Scarbacks (Killjoys (TV)), Alvis Akari (Killjoys (TV), Any or No Characters (Killjoys (TV)), Dutch (Killjoys (TV)), Fairuza (Killjoys (TV)), Johnny Jaqobis (Killjoys (TV)), Original Character(s) (Killjoys (TV)), Pawter Simms (Killjoys (TV)), Prima "Pree" Dezz (Killjoys (TV)), Fanfiction, In-Universe Meta
I really love how rich the world of Killjoys is, both visually and in the way a lot of worldbuilding is just thrown in casually rather than explained in detail. I've chosen these three particular worldbuilding tags because they're aspects I'd like to know more about.
So I'd love to see something of the lives of "ordinary" Westerlyns: perhaps people who pass though Pree's bar, or the miners or workers in Westerly's other industries, or people who live in the margins in places like Sugarpoint or the settlements in the wastelands or in the underground tunnels under the protection of the Rat King.
When it comes to Qreshi politics, I'm fascinated as a viewer/reader but a little terrified by the idea of writing it! So if you can take this on, much kudos to you. Some ideas you might want to explore are how much knowledge is only held by the heads of the Nine families and when it's passed on to their successors (since there seemed to be a big gap between what Pawter knew and what her mother or Delle Seyah Kendry knew.), or what happened when the Kin-Ritt/Yardeen family were expelled from the Ten to create the Nine, or what Pawter's life was like before she was exiled to Westerly (and her ongoing feud at school with Delle Seyah Kendry).
Finally, I would have liked the show to dig more into the Scarback religion, so perhaps you'd like to tell me more about Scarback religious practices, or about how the Scarbacks work with the communities they serve -- from the underclasses on Westerly to the elite on Qresh -- or about their religious writings, commentaries and histories.

As you might have guessed from my user name, this is one of my favourite series with one of my favourite characters! I love how much of the worldbuilding is dropped in casually or as an aside (or in the glossaries at the end of the books), and how much you have to put the pieces together yourself from small clues.
In terms of the Riverlands prehistoric culture, I'd enjoy seeing something about the life of an ordinary person, such as one of the residents of Shelling or one of Kars Adon's followers, and their perspective on the book's events. Or perhaps more of the myths, folktales or religious beliefs and rituals of the time.
If you choose to focus on the Undying, it would be great fun to see the complications of living life as one of the Undying, especially as Dalemark modernises and it gets harder to just move to somewhere else and claim a new identity when people start noticing you're not ageing.
Finally, for the weaving prompt, I'd love a story that explores Tanaqui using her weaving magic, such as when she helps bring The Adon back to life after he was murdered, or with her trying to figure out more about how it works and how to use it after the end of the events in The Spellcoats. (Duck being an annoying younger brother helping or hindering would be a bonus!)

I love fantasy that feels like it's grounded in a real, functioning world where most people are just getting on with living and working while the magic and sword waving (and magic-sword waving) are happening. So I was thrilled to see all the prompts related to trade, culture and daily life for this fandom. If you're interested in these prompts, I'd enjoy a story about the craftsmen and traders of Dale's toy-market, or following a toy over time as it's created and sold and bought and played with and passed on, or perhaps something about the river-workers who facilitate the more mundane trade between Thranduil's people and Lake-town, Dale and the Lonely Mountain.
I was also excited to see the tag for the Language of the Birds. I would love anything related to this prompt, from scholarly writings about the language to a story about the birds using it (or trying to use it and failing, because the people they're trying to talk to don't understand it) to something specifically focused on Bard and his experiences with talking birds. (Maybe he's so "grim" because he got laughed at when young for claiming he could understand it….)

The Lord of the Rings - J. R. R. Tolkien
WB: Gondor-Rohan relations (LotR - Tolkien), WB: Libraries & Archives (LotR - Tolkien), WB: Life in Minas Tirith (LotR - Tolkien), Any or No Characters (LOTR - Tolkien), Boromir (Son of Denethor II) (LotR - Tolkien), Éomer Éadig (LoTR - Tolkien), Éowyn (LOTR - Tolkien), Faramir (LOTR - Tolkien), Original Character from Rohan (LOTR - Tolkien), Original Gondorian Scholar (LotR - Tolkien), Théodred (LOTR - Tolkien), Fanfiction, In-Universe Meta
Gondor is my favourite culture in Middle-Earth (with Rohan a close second), so I'd love to see something that explores it in more detail.
I'd be happy to receive stories about life in Minas Tirith during any period, from its founding as Minas Anor through to the Fourth Age. It would be particularly interesting to read about life there at the point it was renamed, or in the run up to the War of the Ring when it's "falling into decay", or after the War when it's being rebuilt and renewed. Anything -- from a slice-of-life vignette to a story about one of the "ordinary" craftsmen, traders, soldiers or other inhabitants, to something set in the loftier circles of the city with the named characters -- would be great.
For Libraries and Archives, I'd especially enjoy something about the archives in Minas Tirith. How many archivists and librarians are employed there? Is there a single library/archive or are there specialist branches? How are the documents and books arranged and classified -- and who consults them (and how: do they come down and look themselves or send a messenger down to request information)?
If you don't want to write about Minas Tirth's archive, then hearing about any other library (with the same sort of questions) would also be fun. What's in the libraries at Great Smials and Brandy Hall -- maybe you can give me a catalogue excerpt? Do they have librarians and archivists? Since literacy is reasonably widespread in the Shire (if not universal), does the Shire have public lending libraries and what kind of books do they lend? And, of course, there are the written resources at Rivendell that Bilbo used to create "Translations from the Elvish", so perhaps you can tell me something about Elrond's library.
Finally, I'd enjoy reading about Gondor-Rohan relations, at any point after Gondor cedes Calenardhon to the Éothéod and Rohan is founded. That could be an in-universe history as put together by either Gondor or Rohan after the War of the Ring (told with their own historical biases) or a story showing what "ordinary" Rohirrim or Gondorians think about people from the other country. Maybe you'd like to write a tale about about a diplomatic mission from one country to the other -- perhaps one of the occasions when Boromir visits Rohan? -- or something set after the War of the Ring when the two countries are brought closer together by the events of the War and by the marriages between Faramir and Éowyn and Éomer and Lothiriel.
I'd strongly prefer it if you use book canon as far as possible and don't include events, characterisations and other influences from Jackson's movies that differ from book canon.

I am so excited to see this tiny corner of Tolkien's work nominated and would love to see something based around it. Maybe you can tell me one of the Lossoth's own stories that their storytellers would recite during the long winter nights. Maybe you can give me the history of Arvedui's stay with them from the perspective of the Lossoth. Maybe it's the story of a fourth age scholar who goes in search of the Lossoth and their culture -- or the scholarly article that's the result. Anything about this smart and resourceful culture would be delightful.
