The collection is revealed. We have over 100 works in over 70 fandoms (there are slightly more than currently show up on AO3, as some are unwrangled). Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the collection, especially those who picked up pinch hits.

(Reminder: Since Round 3, the rules have required that participants "acknowledge" their gifts either by commenting, contacting the mod about an issue, or using AO3's in-built gift refusal functionality. Failure to acknowledge your gift will result in a ban from future rounds. Edited to address a query I saw elsewhere: I would hope that in the vast majority of cases people would be able to acknowledge their gift during the anon period; however, in recognition of the fact that RL sometimes throws a curve ball, the timescale I use for this is much longer than that.)

Creators

You are very much encouraged to re-date your fics to today's date if you wish to do so; this may be particularly worth doing in high-volume fandoms where those browsing the fandom tag will not necessarily come across works which were unrevealed back when they were posted.

On the other hand, if your fandom is one for which there is currently no canonical tag on AO3, you might want to add the "Undisclosed Fandom" tag so that those browsing the collection via the Fandoms view can take a look.

A slightly unusual situation here - the current pinch hitter for this pinch hit has been in touch to indicate that they may need a little more time; at their suggestion, I am re-advertising to see if anyone else might be able to complete it more quickly.

If this pinch hit is picked up within the next 24 hours by someone who is confident they can finish it by 1955 UTC on Thursday 25th March, then we will remain on track for reveals 12 hours after that, at 0755 UTC on Friday 26th. However, if not, there will be a 48 hour delay to reveals, until 0755 UTC on Sunday 28th. I will post again on Wednesday with an update either way.

The "default deadline" is at 0755 UTC on Friday 12th March, about 36 hours from the time of this post. There is no particular penalty in worldbuildingex for defaulting after this point rather than before it (though the proviso that defaulting at any time means you are not guaranteed a gift, should your own creator then default, obviously still applies). The default deadline exists more as an invitation to consider whether you think your assignment's on track or whether it might be better to give a pinch hitter a little more time.

I will put up a new pinch hit post on Saturday, including both any which have not yet been claimed, and any new ones which arise over the next few days. (While I'm here, do take a look at the current pinch hits if you have the opportunity.) The deadline for pinch hits advertised after the default deadline will move to 0755 UTC on Tuesday 23rd March.

Assignments are now being sent out and should be coming to the inbox for the email you use for AO3 very soon, if they haven't got there already, or available from your AO3 assignments page.

If there is a problem with your assignment, please let me know ASAP by email to worldbuildingmod@gmx.com or dreamwidth DM. (The one exception to this is if the problem you want to let me know about is that your recipient has a locked/placeholder letter - for this one, please give people until at least Friday, which was when assignments were advertised as being "out by" and people might have reasonably thought they had until then. I had allowed in the schedule for the possibility of a fair bit of back and forth with unmatchable participants, but the fact that there were none this round meant that that didn't need to happen.)

I will update on progress with matching etc. within the next 12 hours. (I'm hoping it will quite a bit sooner, but I don't want to make promises I can't necessarily keep.)
